IAmAnIKON.com is a website that documents everything entertaining about the LGBT community. We are on location for most of the events happening in the New York City and Tri State area to bring the LGBT community worldwide direct access to the movers and shakers contributing positivity to the community. In addition to our live interviews, we also scour the world wide web for some of the juiciest gay and lesbian news in the world of Hollywood, which inspired our slogan, “From the Rainbow to the Red Carpet”. With over 3,000 visitors to our community site in a single month, we are confident IAmAnIKON.com will be an instant hit to the audience we serve as well as the straight community just looking for some juicy information for an interesting conversational piece. Our website is set up in a blogging format where we give our visitors, guest and members the opportunity to speak their mind on postings initiating dialogue between one another.

The movement “I Am An IKON” is not just geared towards the LGBT community. We represent those who are for Human Rights and equality for all. You do not have to be a member of the LGBT community to brandish our logo across your chest , nor do you have to like us and how we love; we simply would like the followers of our movement to know we are no different from the straight community and we expect the same respect as they demand.

IKONS Magazine is a bold, in-depth, full-color quarterly online publication dedicated to the Black & Latino lbbt (lesbian, bi-sexual, bi-curious transgender) community, lifestyle and culture. Each issue will provide our readers with vibrant illustrations capturing the lifestyle, music, culture and fashion as well as powerful articles and features surrounding major issues experienced by lesbians worldwide. Through real-life experiences from women within the community we hope this magazine will inspire, educate, and enlighten it’s readers. At Team IKONS Inc. we believe everyone has the ability to be an icon (IKON) in their own way, in their own community. Our teachers, politicians, lawyers, businesswomen and entrepreneurs are all iconic figures to those they service. An icon does not have to be a well-known public figure. We applaud those women who can overcome the huddles and obstacles and still find the strength to continue success and positivity throughout life. The Black and Latino urban lesbian community has been widely ignored for some time, however we are equally talented and dedicated, yet there is a lack of our presence in the media.
